POSITIONS WORKING WITH OUR STUDENTS- Southborough, MA
Our level 2 teachers work collaboratively to teach children, adolescents, and young adults in the areas of academics, socialization, self-control, activities of daily living, communication, and job skills.
This position requires some experience working with children with special needs. These teachers work in the school and group homes with some evening and weekend hours. While all teachers work collaboratively, a level 2 teacher will assist with educational program design, IEP development, and regular communication with parents and guardians for a student assigned to him/her.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Under the supervision of the team coordinators and Program Specialist, the Residential Direct Care Staff (Level 1 Teacher) is responsible for the direct care and ABA instruction of students in the classroom and/or residence. The ABA Teacher (Intensive Instruction Day Program) works in NECC’s day program and provides instruction within assigned cohort. Teachers work in the school setting and assist with educational program design, IEP development, and regular communication with parents and guardians. Teachers implement the scientific principles of applied behavior analysis during the school day across environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching as part of a team of professionals in a year-round day program to maximize students’ skills and independence
- Implementing educational programs and behavior management guidelines in 1:1 and small group formats
- Utilizing behavior analytic teaching procedures across classroom and community settings
- Instructing students in general curriculum areas, communication, social skills, activities of daily living (ie personal hygiene), vocational, leisure and recreation, adaptive physical education and swimming, community, and self-preservation.
- Diligent implementation of all medical, safety, and emergency procedures.

This position is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in a career in human service, special education, and/or applied behavior analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT THIS ROLE
This position is located in and around the towns near Southborough, MA.
The Residential Counselor role is an awake overnight position designed for individuals who want to gain or strengthen their experience working with children and young adults with autism and who have an interest in an overnight work schedule. Our residential counselors are responsible for closely supervising our students and ensuring their health and safety during the overnight hours. As a member of the team, these professionals work with the teachers and supervisors to design and implement overnight clinical programming. Overall Responsibility
Under the supervision of the Director of OT, PT & APE, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessments, treatment plans, curriculum development, training for students and staff on his/her designated caseload.
- Diagnostic
- Complete triennial occupational therapy assessments to students as part of the clinical and educational re-evaluation process. This includes a written report, presented by OT at reevaluation (unless special arrangements are made with clinical Specialist). Assessment areas may include any of the following: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, oral motor and feeding skills, visual perceptual issues and activities of daily living
- Based upon assessments, prescribe appropriate adaptive equipment, classroom and residential accommodations. Order/assist in design of equipment and train staff in use, care and safety during team meetings.
- Complete initial assessments for new students once referred for OT services.
- Complete annual current performance sections on IEPs for all students on caseload and establish appropriate benchmark objectives for need areas.
- Education/Curriculum Development
- Participate in development of both departmental and school-wide curriculum, including submission of curriculum for the ACE®. Departmental curriculum development may encompass all areas under assessment areas.
- Supervise case managers in curriculum implementation through direct observation and modeling.
- Collaborate regularly with APE, PT and other related disciplines to maintain communication and team approach regarding students.
- Provide support to case managers and clinical/educational specialists in completing motor section of quarterly progress reports.
- Attend and supervise recreational sessions weekly for all teams
- Training and Supervision
- Provide ongoing supervision of departmental programs in contexts including mealtime, gym sessions and classroom activities.
- Attend monthly classroom meetings or team meetings for assigned caseload to review student progress, present updated information or programs, and/or to address modifications needed to existing programs.
- Complete all required NECC training classes in a timely fashion including annual training in OSHA, CPR, and 51-A.

Physical:

The Program Supervisor/Consulting Specialist will provide direction and leadership for a team of school district employed paraeducators and NECC Lead Teachers within Partner Program classroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising the creation and maintenance of NECC Partner Program Classrooms, including:
- Leadership, training, and coaching for Lead Teachers and paraeducators in the classroom
- Oversight of clinical and educational programming for students in the classroom
- Oversight of home and school programming through monthly clinics
- Collaboration with general education personnel and team members to ensure the educational needs of the students are being met.
- Work closely and supportively with families

The Lead Teacher in this classroom will provide direction and leadership for a team of school district-employed paraeducators. The Development Department serves to connect with individuals, corporations and foundations who share our vision and align with our mission. Our goals are to increase awareness of the Center’s many programs and services and to raise unrestricted financial support to sustain our excellence.
Under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Development Coordinator works with the Event Specialist and the Advancement Services Specialist and is an integral part of the development team, providing administrative support to the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate logistics for annual fundraising events (gala, golf tournaments, 5K)
- Work with vendors on all aspects of event details, including permits, contracts, services, catering, A/V, invitations, programs, promotion, etc.
- Solicit and track auction donations for fundraising events

- Draft acknowledgement letters and stewardship reports

The Director of Health Services (DHS) is ultimately responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality clinical care to the students at NECC. The DHS provides the overall direction, leadership, management, and strategic vision to the department. The Health Services Department consists of the Director of Primary Care, Director of Specialty Care, Nurse Manager, Office Manager, and eleven nurses. The nurses report to the Nurse Manager, who reports to the DHS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership, oversight, and accountability for a health services department within a residential and day school setting
- Serve as a resource and medical advisor to school leadership
- Establish an environment of equity, inclusion, civility, mentoring, teamwork, and well-being within NECC environment.
- Oversee medical and administrative personnel activities through supervision of Health Services Department.
- Provide direct medical services to students when needed as well as clinical consultation to NECC providers during business hours and on a rotating on-call schedule.
- Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with community health and public health resources and agencies to ensure high quality health services for students
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric or Family) or Physician’s Assistant required.
- Experience with a special needs population and psychiatric care preferred
- 5+ years of proven experience leading a health services department
- Substantial experience in managing healthcare institutions, including knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding and working knowledge of state and federal requirements relevant to the work of the health services department.
- Familiar with Electronic Health Record (EHR), Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and video conferencing (Zoom)
- Ability to build effective working relationships with school administrators, employees, and the general public, including persons of various social and economic backgrounds

The Director of Facilities is responsible for all maintenance-related matters at NECC including the school, aquatic center, laundry services and facilities, Autism Institute, daycare, employee and intern housing, and surrounding parking areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures cleanliness and supervises maintenance and repair work of buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Contracts with vendors and maintains inventory of equipment and purchases.
- Provides supervision (hire, train, evaluation, disciplinary) to the in-house facilities and custodial staff, maintenance technicians, and shuttle drivers.
- Prepares budget, assures that purchases made are within budget guidelines, and recommends capital improvements
- Handles arrangements for maintenance and repair of NECC fleet vehicle(s)
- Oversees remote parking lots, shuttle service coordination, Kantech and Energy management systems
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree or associates degree with technical training in plant engineering, or factory/plant maintenance.
- Three-five years of progressive experience in maintenance in a director-level role
The Health Assistant/ Nursing Assistant (CNA) will work under the administrative supervision team coordinator and the clinical supervision of the health services team. The primary responsibility is to provide medication administration to students following established policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides medication administration for assigned teams under delegation of the team primary care registered nurse during all medication times as designated. Training will be provided for medication administration and maintenance per the Massachusetts School Health regulations.
- Organizes and maintains medication closets and first-aid supplies.
- May need to assist team members with taking students to medical appointments, which may include driving to appointments.
- Participates in weekly staff meetings and supervision meetings with directors.
- Participates in assigned tasks such as cleaning of student space, or maintenance of medical equipment to assist in department function and for regulation compliance.
- Serves as a medical liaison between clinical staff and primary care nurses.
- Works collaboratively with direct-care, clinical and administrative staff.
- Monday – Friday: 7:30AM-3:30PM OR Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-10pm
REQUIREMENTS:

ABOUT THE POSITION: NECC is seeking to fill a full-time Recruiter position. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Recruiting and will provide talent sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for direct care teacher positions.

ABOUT THE POSITION: NECC is seeking to fill a full-time Daycare Teacher position. The Michael F. Downey Center for Child Development is an on-site early learning program that serves our staff’s children. The program serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The Daycare Teacher will work under the supervision of the Daycare Director and is responsible for the education and care of the children, including the planning and implementation of activities. In addition, the teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a trusting relationship with the parents and guardians.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
